Kia ora everyone,
Today's VC will run differently from normal. It will be shorter than normal and it is OPTIONAL. If you need to be picking things up from school for the lockdown, or need to help your family with things this is fine. As per usual, you can check into our blog outline and checkout the zoom recording (be aware that it will likely take quite some time for the recording to process as the whole world turns to Zoom and their server gets a bit overwhelmed).
Today is just for us to check in and see where things are at with you all.
Next learning steps
You will most likely be aware that the holidays have been brought forward and will now be from this weekend until the 14th of April. I don't expect you to be working over the holidays, but I thought some of you might appreciate having something normal to focus on.
With that in mind, it would be good to check in with where you are with your research, and your understanding of what we're working towards.

- My first priority is to check in with how you are doing. We'll go around and have a quick korero about how we're holding up.
- What kind of internet access do you have at home?
- #onegoodthing It is easy for the news about covid-19 to be all that we are thinking about and reading about. It would be good if we could share one good thing that has happened to you this week. My challenge to you is to continue to share #onegoodthing in our Google Community on a regular basis. It will be easy to get isolated and stressed, so it might help people to hear positive things that are happening in our world.

- We'll have a bit of a korero about where we are at with our research, this will be less formal than normal. Try to summarise what you have been looking at over the last week and where your knowledge gaps are that you need to work on (either in the holidays or at the start of term 2)
- What is your understanding of what we are working towards for the assessment. We'll have a share of what we think we are being asked to do. I will address any misunderstandings and take any questions
Over the holidays I will check in periodically to our shared research, Google+, and KF. I will also post in the Google+ some exemplars of top notch values and arguments responses so that you can get a better picture of what you need to be working towards. Please ask questions about these to help clarify your understanding.
