Kia ora,
Welcome to our community of art historians. I hope that you have a year that excites and challenges you.
A few bit and pieces to be focusing on to get yourself set up well for the year.
In our google community (which you will be invited to join shortly) can you make a couple of posts
1. Introduce yourself. Who are you? What is important to you? And what are your interests outside of school? Try to post a picture with this that either shows what is important to you or what your interests are.
2. What is on your reading/viewing list. In the community post images of the last three books you read and a short blurb of why they were interesting, or why we might want to read them
3. Post 2 truths and a lie about yourself (without giving away which is which).
I'll try to lead the way with examples in the community
We will build on these tasks in class, so it is important that you do these before Thursday next week (7th Feb).
There will be a focus on developing connections as a community in the first few weeks, as this course is discussion based and it is important that we are working well as a team.
Aside from that a few technical things to be on top of:
Please save https://netnzl3arthistorians.blogspot.com/ https://ah3netnz.weebly.com/ and https://plus.google.com/communities/111941673671997093518 to your bookmarks as you will be using these frequently! Take the time to familiarise yourself with the class sites and where everything is kept.
There will also be a NetNZ student profile for you to work through in the first few weeks. Your eDean will share this with you and hopefully walk you through this. Once you have completed these we can set up a one-to-one interview with me. If you did the profile last year, it will be a case of just updating it.
That's all for now. See you in class
